Who is Jesus?

Who is Jesus?

Pastor Jim Huthmaker

Jesus is the Son of God. (Mark 1:1-2, Luke 1:35)

Jesus is Deity. (Matthew 1:1, 16)

Jesus is the Son of man. (John 1:1-2, 14, Matthew 1:21-23)

Jesus is the bread of life. (John 6:33-35, 51)

Jesus is the possessor of all authority. (Matthew 28:16-20)

Jesus is the Lord of all. (Acts 10:36)

Jesus is the Lamb of God, sacrificed for the sins of the world. (John 1:29, 34)

Jesus is the Good Shepherd. (John 10:11, 14-15)

Jesus was a teacher. (John 13:13-14)

Jesus is the author and giver of eternal life to those that chose to believe him. (John 14:6)

Why is it so important to know who Jesus is?

Jesus is the only source, the only access to God, the Father.

Why did Jesus go around performing miracles (Mark 16:19-20)?

Jesus did that to show that He was God and God cares for people. When people see a miraculous thing, they believe. Wherever we go, people should see the light shining. We are now walking in Jesus’ footprints. It is not about us, it is about people going out in the name of Jesus and performing good works for the Lord and as a result people will believe.

Everyone will stand before Jesus one day.

To accept Jesus or if you need a renewed relationship with Jesus, please read Romans 10:9-11: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Christianity is not a religion but a relationship, with the one and only God.
