Victory in Jesus

Pastor Jim Huthmaker

A mystery made known by Jesus. (Romans 16:25)

The only way we can understand and have a relationship with God is to understand that unknown mystery; to understand what Jesus is trying to reveal to us.

Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus will reveal all things to us. Jesus left us with the Holy Spirit. (John 15:26-27, John 16:8-11)

How is the Holy Spirit working through the church:

Acts 9:31

Jesus is our Great Comforter. (2 Corinthians 1:3-5)

Victory in Jesus

1 Corinthians 15:57-58

Victory - a success or triumph over an enemy or battle or war; a success or superior position achieved against any opponent, opposition, difficulty, etc.

Jesus gave us the victory by going to the cross.

1.  Jesus gives us the victory. He won the battle for us.

2.  God has given us victory through Jesus, we do not have to earn it or labor and toll for   it; it is a free gift just like salvation.

3.  We should give God the glory everyday that He has given us victory, authority and power in this fallen world.

All the promises that God has provided for us are yes and amen. (2 Corinthians 1:20)

We are more than conquerors. (Romans 8:37)

The devil has been defeated by Jesus. The only way that we can carry out what we are going to do for Jesus is to focus on Him, focus on His word.

Jesus overcame the world. (John 6:33)

God will cause us to triumph when we look to Him. (2 Corinthians 2:14)

What do we have through Jesus?

1.  God has given us the victory through Jesus.

2.  God has made us more than conquerors.

3.  Victory like salvation is a free gift.

4.  We have this victory because of the love that Jesus has for us.

5.  We should praise God and give Him the glory in all things.

Let Jesus work through us in everything we think, say and do.
